Ms. Muller (10th Grade AVID)
Hello :)
My name is Ms. Muller and I am beginning my 6th year here at ERHS. I began teaching Spanish 1, but this year I have taken on Spanish for Spanish Speakers level 2. I am also teaching 10th grade AVID and I am very excited for this class. This year we have began a new class/program called Renaissance. We will be in charge of recognizing the efforts and achievements of our students and staff.
I was born in East Los Angeles, but moved to Pomona when I was about 9 and still live there today. I began my college career at UC Santa Cruz, but finished at La Sierra University here in Riverside with a BA in Spanish. I earned my Masters in Education while completing my teaching credential at Claremont Graduate University. After 3 years of teaching, I decided to begin my Masters in administration which I completed, but do not wish to pursue at this time. My passion in right here in the classroom and with out extra-curricular activities.
I have been a Class Council advisor for 4 years and I am in charge of the Senior Class Council this year. Our goal is to promote school spirit and create a positive culture on campus.
I am also the advisor for our ERHS Humane club which focuses on raising awareness for our furry friends, volunteering, and donating a nice check to the local animal shelter at the end of the year.
I am very excited for this year. I know it will be a great one :)

Mr. Mendez (9th Grade HAVID)
My name is Eric Mendez and this is my 3rd year teaching 9th grade AVID and 9th year teaching biology at ERHS. My parents were born in Oaxaca, Mexico and they immigrated to the US in the late 70's to start a family (my mom was only 14). I was born and raised in San Bernardino, California where I graduated high school in 1999, the first in my family to do so. Thanks to my 11th grade English teacher Mrs. Edwards, I enrolled at CSUSB with an academic scholarship. Although I started off as an English major, I decided to pursue a degree in biology after taking a class my junior year. I graduated from college in 2004 with a degree in Biology and a minor in English and received my masters in 2014, also from CSUSB. My original plan was to become a dentist, but my plans immediately changed after the passing of my mentor teacher. Her passing, along with my unhappiness volunteering at dental offices led to a career change ( I completed 1 semester of dental school at Loma Linda). I have now been teaching for 11 years, 9 at ERHS, and could not be happier. Besides working with some of the most amazing teenagers on the planet, I also work with my wife Mrs. Mendez who is a safety/violence counselor. I am truly blessed that I have the opportunity to change the lives of young people everyday. Outside of teaching I love photography, traveling, barbecuing, attending concerts and playing racquetball.
